The annual event's fourth year will be the first to feature bands outside of the Michigan area.
The event is a showcase for Detroit's hardest hitting metal bands and this year some of the region's biggest metal names will also be along for the ride.
11 bands will be taking the stage this year including nine local bands: Underneath It All, As Darkness Falls, Hell Rides North, Givensix, Society Hostile, Define Our Fate, The Worst Of, Wake of Destruction and Negative Feedback and two regional bands: Mobile Deathcamp (featuring Todd Evans of Gwar) and Shores of Elysium.
The bands will be alternating between the Diesel's two stages.
"I really wanted to take it up a notch this year, especially with having to postpone last years event due to the Emerald Theater closing down," says Deluxxe Entertainment/Hard Edge Radio's Howie Herula. “We added a few more local bands and then two regional bands that are doing great things in the metal scene.”
In addition to the live music there will also be a vendor are with products and information from Moshpit Nation, Detroit Underground, Empire Seven Clothing and Welcome To This World Video Productions.
Doors for the show open at 6 p.m. and it is an all ages show.
Event tickets are cheaper in advance from the bands or at fallmetalfest.ticketleap.com and will be $10 the day of the show.
The show is sponsored this year by The Coliseum and Empire Seven Clothing.
Additional sponsors include: Moshpit Nation, Welcome To This World Video Productions and Ace Appliance-Detroit.
The Diesel Concert Lounge is located at 33151 23 Mile Road in Chesterfield.
