Dierks Bentley uses his second wind to finally reach Number One

See also

Dierks Bentley finally rises to Number One on the Country Chart in his 31st chart week with “I Hold On”. The track had been stuck at number three for the last three weeks as other songs jumped over Bentley’s single. In addition to being stuck in third place, Bentley’s gain shrunk last week to a level indicative of songs nearing or at their peak. Nevertheless, “I Hold On” increased by a substantial 5.047 million impressions to 68.543 impressions for the week of March 16 through March 22.

With Bentley’s jump, Blake Shelton’s “Doin’ What She Likes” remains at number two, gaining 3.106 million impressions to 67.283 million. Shelton’s single had jumped Bentley’s track last week, and it appeared Shelton would be the next Number One. “Doin’ What She Likes” could still reach Number One, but the song will have to wait at least one more week for “I Hold On” to finish its stay at the top.
