Dierks Bentley stays at the top of country charts with 'Drunk on a Plane'

On Aug. 28, it was announced on Billboard's official website that country star Dierks Bentley will be spending his second week at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, with his latest radio single "Drunk on a Plane." The song has charted for 21 weeks and it is a track from his studio album "Riser," as well as his second consecutive chart-topping single from that CD.

In addition, "Drunk on a Plane" marks his 12th career No. 1 single as a singer and songwriter. Other songs that have achieved this milestone include his breakthrough single "What Was I Thinkin'," "Come a Little Closer," "Settle for a Slowdown," "Every Mile a Memory," "Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)," "Feel That Fire," "Sideways," "Am I the Only One," "Home," "5-1-5-0," as well as his previous single, "I Hold On."

He has been playing at capacity crowds in amphitheaters throughout the United States and he will conclude his first leg of his headlining "Riser" tour in Nashville, with his annual "Miles & Music for Kids" on September 28. His tour has been extended with over 20 dates through the end of the year.

Throughout his career, Dierks Bentley has been named "Top New Artist" by the Academy of Country Music (ACM), and he has won the "Horizon Award" by the Country Music Association (CMA). He has also been nominated multiple times for Grammy awards.
