Dierks Bentley held his annual “MILES AND MUSIC 4 KIDS” fundraiser and raised $307,000 in donations according to Taste of Country on Nov. 4, 2013. Bentley’s annual celebrity motorcycle ride and concert has raised more than $2.5 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country over the eight years it’s been running.
Bentley said “This is crazy to have this many people come out and support this cause” and added “I think this might be the most people and tonight, we might make the most money.” He was right. The record setting amount that was raised benefits the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
Bentley kicked off the event with 1,000 motorcyclists joining him on the 40 mile ride from Harley-Davidson of Columbia to Riverfront Park in Nashville, Tenn. where Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Easton Corbin, and Brett Eldredge joined Bentley for the fun.
Bentley shared his excitement by saying “Every year, the support from the fans for these events catches me off guard.” Bentley continued “I shouldn’t be surprised because the country music community is the first to open their wallets to help out, but this year they were lined up before the sun was even up."
