Sean "Diddy" Combs is a businessman, rapper and an actor. He started his own label, Bad boy records in 1993 and his never looked back. Diddy may become the first billionaire rapper and his new tv channel Revolt TV is going to help him achieve that.
Revolt TV is going to debut on October 21 and is going to go up against MTV. The idea for starting Revolt TV has been in the plans for quite some time and now is finally seeing the light of day.
The music that is going to be played on Revolt TV has left people curious. Diddy addresses this topic in a Youtube video.
The Bad Boy Records founder says that he will play all sorts of music, not just hip hop. This is a great idea because if it only played hip hop, the audience wouldn't be as big as Revolt TV wants it to be. Targeting different kinds of audiences will make sure that Revolt TV has something for everyone.
MTV should be worried because they will finally have some competition. BET mostly focuses on hip hop and R&B while MTV plays all kinds of music and even airs shows.
Rumors are that Revolt TV will also air shows but no details have been revealed.
Revolt TV didn't wait to swing first in this rivalry. They openly said that they are "the new #1 name in music."
The new music channel shouldn't count its chickens before they hatch because MTV has dominated the music genre for a long time and don't plan to give up any time soon.
