Did you procrastinate Valentine's day?

Procrastination + Valentine's Day = scrambling for date ideas.....

If you decided to procrastinate making plans for Valentine's because you thought you would come up with an epic date only to find out that you couldn't/didn't....then keep reading! I'm going to help save you from a disaster and give you 3 unique date ideas that can really give you points with your significant other.

1. Ensign Peak:

This is a great area if you're looking for a romantic place to sit and take in the view. Bring some hot cocoa in a thermos and you're good to go. Ensign Peak is located just above the State Capitol Building in Salt Lake City and it takes about 30 minutes to hike to the top. The view is spectacular and it overlooks the entire Salt lake valley. Ensign Peak would be a great place to take your date- just make sure she isn't wearing stilettos.

2. Midway, UT:

Midway is a hidden gem in Utah nearby Park City and Heber City. It is rich with little B&B's and local mom & pop shops in town. It is a charming rural town with a little ice-skating rink and some famous ice sculptures at the Zermatt Resort. The resorts have Swiss undertones and there are plenty of fun activities to do such as skiing nearby, ice fishing, snowshoeing, or take a dip in the Crater at the Homestead resort. http://www.homesteadresort.com/Crater While it may be too late to reserve a room, it would be a perfect day trip and it would make for some great conversation time.

3. Go old school:

Invite your date to your humble abode and try a new recipe! Build a little fire pit in your backyard complete with marshmallows, blankets, chocolate, and grahm crackers and you will charm your way out of being a procrastinating jerk. (ha ha)
