Reports published today, May 20, indicate that Phelps may have offered Billy Miller a new contract to return as “They Young and the Restless” Billy Abbott. Reportedly Jill Farren Phelps begged an actor to come back to the show and that actor is Billy Miller.
Since the exit of Michael Muhney and Billy Miller “The Young and the Restless has lost nearly a million and a half viewers. Many “Young and the Restless” cast members are actors are nervous about losing their jobs. The cast members most fearful are those referred to as “FOJ” or “Friends of Jill.” While rumors are circulating that Billy Miller is the actor to whom Phelps made the insulting offer to return, some think the actor is Michael Muhney.
The source says that “Firing Phelps,” who has the worst track record in soap history for cancelled shows, realized she had made a mistake of epic proportions when she let one of the show’s most talented, respected and well-liked actors leave the show. Reports say that no credible actor “will touch the role of Adam Neman with a five foot pole right now.” There are also reports that Muhney will join the cast of “General Hospital” along with “Young and the Restless” veteran Michelle Stafford. Rumors are that Michael Muhney was offered the role of Jason Morgan, once played by “FOJ” Steve Burton. Burton now portrays Dylan McAvoy on “The Young and the Restless.”
