Kail Lowry recently gave birth to her second child, Lincoln Marroquin, and after doing so, it was reported that she ate her placenta, but after seeing the latest episode, that is less clear.

On Monday night's episode of "Teen Mom 2," Kail was seen telling her doctor of her plans to have her placenta encapsulated. Unfortunately, the doctor seemed completely repulsed by the idea and informed Kail that they didn't offer that service at the hospital in which he worked.

However, for months leading up to the birth, Kail had been tweeting all about eating her placenta, and how the benefits had convinced her that it was the right thing to do, so did she do it, or not?

"I ended up switching docs and encapsulating my placenta! ;)," Kail revealed to fans on Tuesday, according to a March 12 report by Wetpaint Entertainment.

Since the placenta is filled with nutrients, consuming it after birth is a practice that has many benefits for a new mother -- and, if she's breastfeeding, it's also great for her baby.

Although placenta eating isn't exactly what most would consider "normal," it is for most species, aside from humans, and regardless of who's doing it or not, there's more benefits than risk, so at the end of the day, more people should hop aboard the unconventional practice.
