Did the Jonas Brothers contribute to a fallout between Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus?
According to OK! Magazine (via an October 5, 2013 Cambio report), "Miley and Taylor used to be really close, but they fell out over boys way back in 2008. There were a lot of complications that began when Miley was dumped by Nick Jonas and Taylor took up with Nick's brother Joe Jonas."
The report also suggested that the fallout was hardest on Cyrus. "Miley started getting a bit edgy and cocky, and Taylor ran away, taking the Jonas brothers with her! It was as if Miley lost her girlfriend, boyfriend and a friend in a matter of months--it was pretty rough on her."
Whether or not Cyrus and Swift have reconciled any differences remains to be seen. Many believe that the "We Can't Stop" singer dissed Swift when she talked about celebrities who showed up to the VMAs in "Vanna White-style" gowns.
Yet the country superstar doesn't seem to bear any ill will towards Cyrus. In fact, in the November 2013 issue of UK's Glamour, she defended Cyrus, arguing that one could still be a role model, even after making a few mistakes.
As Swift commented, "there’s room for role models who make mistakes, There’s clearly room for role models who are made fun of at award shows."
