Miley Cyrus is not new to the celebrity rumor mill, and has even shown disdain in the past for false stories published about her. But lately, the former Hannah Montana star is stoking the tabloid fires herself with comments that seem to indicate she and fiance Liam Hemsworth are secretly married.
Many were confused as to why the singer, 20, would tweet photos of herself and Hemsworth wearing what appeared to be wedding bands last December, only to say later that they are not married. But recent comments by Cyrus in the February issue of Cosmo seem to indicate again that the pair have, in fact, already tied the knot. Did Miley slip up and let the secret out, or is she simply trying to keep everyone guessing?
During her discussion with Cosmo, Cyrus seemingly dropped a bomb saying, "I'm glad I don't have to date anyone...I'm so happy I'm married because you guys are cruel!"
According to People Magazine, rep for Hemsworth, 23, unequivocally responded that the pair are "definitely NOT married." The singer's rep has been silent on the issue.
Cyrus added further fuel to the fire in her Cosmo interview when she referred to a photo of Hunger Games star Hemsworth as "my hubby!" - further supporting rumors that the pair wed secretly around the holidays.
Cyrus and Hemsworth have been engaged since May 2011. They began dating in 2009 while filming the movie The Last Song together.
