Did Mel Gibson really say 'I want Jew blood on my hands'? Sources indicate Mel's ex may be lying

Did Mel Gibson really say "I want Jew blood on my hands"?  Sources say "Uh-uh".

There's no doubt that Mel Gibson's a bad guy.  Over the course of the last month, the audio tapes his ex released through Radar Online have confirmed as much, but as this particular drama unfolds, it appears that Mel's ex may be exaggerating things a bit.  A recent claim made by Oksana Grigorieva-- Mel's ex and the mother of his baby daughter-- that Gibson said, "I want Jew blood on my hands" has been proven false by sources at the Huffington Post.  What does it all mean?  We've got details for you below, my gentle Examiner readers...

There doesn't seem to be any end to the drama for former Lethal Weapon star Mel Gibson, with new audio tapes appearing online seemingly every other day and media figures (such as Whoopi Goldberg on The View) taking sides in the ongoing debate.  Recently, Mel's ex-- Oksana Grigorieva, the source for all the audio tapes that have been released thus far-- claimed that Mel had told her "I want Jew blood on my hands" at one point, a claim that started a whole new round of Gibson hatred and media speculation.  Gibson's made any number of wildly racist statements in the past, and this new alleged statement seemed to fall in line with all of them.  And yet...

Oksana claimed that Mel was angry TMZ had broken the story of his 2006 anti-Semitic rant, had Harvey (ed note-- that's Harvey Levin, managing editor at TMZ.com) followed to the gym at 4 a.m. and planned to have him kidnapped and left in the desert to die with broken kneecaps.

Her story doesn't check out. Oksana had the wrong gym and never mentioned any of this while negotiating her $15 million settlement in May. Her rep also told Harvey about the threat while complaining about a TMZ story that was not favorable to Oksana.

TMZ.com, the ever-popular online gossip site, broke the story aboutMel's racist tirade during an arrest in 2006, and according to Grigorieva, Mel was quite sour about it.  How sour?  Enough to want to kidnap, "knee-cap", and leave for dead TMZ's managing editor, Harvey Levin.  But, as the Huffington Post has just pointed out, there are a number of inconsistencies (read: untrue statements) within Grigorieva's claim.  What does it all mean?

Well, it seems to confirm a suspicion that many have had since this entire situation began: Mel's ex isn't being entirely honest with her depiction of life with Mel Gibson.  Previously, the audio tapes that she released online were found to have been altered by several leading audio experts, and many have pointed out that Grigorieva's behavior-- despite Mel Gibson's obvious guilt and overall douchiness-- indicates a degree of sleaziness that shouldn't be ignored.  If Grigorieva has altered the tapes in any way, and if she's now found to have exaggerated (or flat-out lied) with these new claims about "Jew blood", what else might she not be telling the truth about?  Interesting, indeed.
