Did Kim Kardashian dramatize 'vampire facial' for reality TV moment?

Kim Kardashian showed an example of a vampire facial on the latest episode of her reality show “Kourtney and Kim Take Miami” but the procedure was sensationalized, according to a “New York Daily News” report on March 13.

The mom-to-be enlisted her BFF Jonathan Cheban to accompany her for the procedure which involved having blood drawn then injected back into her skin.

“I love trying anything that makes you look and feel youthful,” Kardashian said about the beauty treatment.

The star screamed when the treatment was administered. “I will never get a facelift if it feels like that.”

The procedure concluded with Kardashian's face covered with blood.

Medi-spas tell the paper the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star's procedure was played up for the cameras.

“It’s completely absurd,” said the director of a boutique that also offers the Vampire Facelift. The doctor uses less-invasive injections than the Dermapen seen on the show.

“You inject it like you would any other filler,” he says. “You can do it on your lunch break.”

The doctor added that the plasma mixture on the reality star’s face should be yellow not red. “Her procedure is not set in any sense of reality,” he sneered.

Meanwhile, a second doctor who apparently uses the Dermapen regularly, laughed after watching Kardashian’s onscreen procedure. “That looks pretty barbaric!” he says. “She’s a celebrity so, of course, she deals with everything very dramatically.”

Continuing, “It can be done very, very gently, and I won’t let what happened to Kim Kardashian happen to you.”
