Did Joe Jonas's 'stupid' tell-all anger Demi Lovato?

Joe Jonas said some pretty shocking things about ex Demi Lovato in his New York Magazine tell-all. So is Demi mad that he basically said that he only dated her for as long as he did because he had "a brand to protect?"

According to a Dec. 6 report by Wonderwall, Demi actually isn't angry with her ex. However, she did call Joe Jonas out for doing "stupid stuff" all the time. "People can see how good of friends we are because even when he does stupid stuff -- because that's what Joe does -- we'll still be best friends," she said. So she's basically saying that Joe is just a lovable idiot.

Demi Lovato has probably toughened up after all that she's gone through. It's probably not too hard to shrug off a few stupid comments after battling substance abuse, eating disorders, and depression so bad that Demi tried to deal with it by cutting herself. However, Joe Jonas's tell-all probably did sting just a little. Joe said of his relationship with Demi, "I really got to know her and got to see the ins and outs of what she was struggling with, like drug abuse. I felt like I needed to take care of her, but at the same time I was living a lie, because I wasn't happy but felt like I had to stay in it for her, because she needed help. I couldn't express any of that, of course, because I had a brand to protect."

It was probably very difficult for a young man to deal with what Demi was going through, but Joe's words make him sound like a real jerk. First he tries to claim that he stayed with Demi because she needed his help, but then he admits the real reason that he didn't dump his girlfriend—he just didn't want to look bad. He goes on to diss Demi even more by calling his fling with Ashley Greene his "first serious relationship." So Demi's response to Joe definitely makes her look like the bigger person.

Joe went on reveal more about the way he views women by saying, "I invited a fan to a movie, and we just made out the entire time. I don’t even remember what the movie was about. I must have been 16 or so. Afterward, I was kind of freaking out, because I thought she’d go public and the whole world would find out. Luckily, she never did, I think because she assumed there’d be another meet-up down the road." So he didn't care about breaking some poor girl's heart by never calling her again—he was just worried about protecting his promise ring-wearing brand.

Joe revealed that he actually didn't lose his virginity until age 20, which was when he started dating Ashley Greene. He said, "I’m glad I waited for the right person, because you look back and you go, 'That girl was batshit crazy. I’m glad I didn’t go there.'" This could be another Demi Lovato diss, but it's also possible that Joe was he thinking of Taylor Swift.

So what do you think of Demi's response to Joe's crazy tell-all?
