Is it possible that the combination of the dispersant and the oil could evaporate and produce a toxic rain? Maybe the storms that are brewing could be bringing the oil in with the rains. However it is happening, there was oil in the rain as clearly seen in this video. This could affect the environment and environmental health even more than what the oil spill already has.
Even after the rain dries and evaporates, the oil residue will be left behind on the ground and on items; therefore, causing environmental hazards. Additionally, if any people had vegetable gardens or fruit trees, the residue in this rain could contaminate the produce. Moreover, any outside pets that did not have protective shelter would have also been affected.
There is no telling how this Gulf oil spill will affect people’s health and the environment before it stops, if they ever get it stopped. The effects of this oil spill will probably be seen for many, many years to come and affect people and the environment.
If a person did receive any of this oil rain in his or her area, be sure to take proper measures in cleaning up any residue on items or animals.

This is a thought provoking article and needs investigation and study. I hadn't heard this concern and it may be being underplayed to not alarm. It is alarming and seems very possible. Though we have always had oil at levels in places so would have some background information of clear evidence of this possiblity. Frightening.
