There already is a porn parody--"Who's Nailin' Palin?" --produced by Larry Flynt and Hustler. Well, Larry is probably already hard at work on a parody sequel. In the new book--"The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin" by Joe McGinnis, McGinnis makes the claim that in 1987 NBA Star Glen Rice took the bench with the former Governor.
Larry Flynt has already taken his parody cases to the Supreme Court, so he won't be sued. The obvious question comes up--can Rice and/or Palin take McGinnis to court down below?
Glen Rice, a former Wolverine and NBA star supposedly had an away game with Sarah Palin before she was married or the Governor of Alaska. McGinness quotes Rice as calling Palin 'a sweetheart' and 'respectful,' according to a new book. That's better than Dennis Rodman supposedly calling Madonna "not an acrobat, but no dead fish either."
We'll resist any jokes about rice.
Today's UK Daily Mail reports that this took place when Palin was a reporter and the Maize and Blue were playing in Alaska in a tournament back in Anchorage in 1987. Apparently she liked her Maize...OK, I'll stop.
I'm on Team Sarah on this one. This is a non-story as nothing illegal occurred. The alleged incident has nothing to do with whether she is fit to be Governor or even President. Palin was not married at the time, nor was Rice.
As for the inevitable :Larry Flynt parody, it will be protected under the first amendment.
Palin does have a potential lawsuit against the McGinnis and his publisher, if it can be shown that McGinniss acted with a reckless disregard for truth or actual malice. The Palin family has already made some damaging allegations against him, but it is unknown if they have already retained an attorney to pursue legal action.
Rice might have a suit against McGinnis as well, but chances he will enjoy the newfound interest in his career. Who knows? He might even play himself in the next film.
