Did Diddy drop the 'P' from his name because he stopped wetting the bed?

Now just "Diddy," Sean Combs used to be Puff Daddy, then P. Diddy. There may have been a reason for removing that "P," as on Friday, while appearing on "Ellen," Diddy gave fans just a bit TMI (too much information).

The 43-year-old came clean about wetting the bed in the interview with Ellen DeGeneres that aired Friday. Both Diddy and Mark Wahlberg appeared to promote their partnership, which will launch a new water brand called AQUAhydrate.

Diddy and Wahlberg traded barbs:

Diddy: One thing I want to say is, I grew up as a Kool-Aid kid.

Wahlberg: Never tried water.

Diddy: I never drank water.

Wahlberg: Didn't know what it was (swigging water).

Diddy: I didn't know what it was. I used to pour a half a pound of sugar into the Kool-Aid. Besides it having me bouncing off the walls, I used to be a bed wetter. OK. And so -- yes, I'm confessing -- I used to be a bed wetter.

So I went on this quest to stop wetting the bed, and the first day I had a sleepover and I didn't wet the bed, it was like one of the greatest days of my life, and it gave me the swagger I have today because I stopped wetting the bed.

He then said there's something about sugar that makes you wet the bed. Any type-2 diabetic can explain that to him and others ... urination increases because the body is trying to flush out the excess sugar. End of amateur doctor rant.

Diddy continued, saying that kids should drink water, because it will stop them from wetting the bed and they won't be embarrassed in front of girls at sleepovers. That includes, naturally, adult sleepovers.

However, when he commented about girls, Ellen stopped him and asked -- girls at sleepovers? He wasn't obviously talking about adult sleepovers, but kid sleepovers. To that, he said:

I grew up in the 'hood. Whoever would take the kids, that's who was sleeping over.

For those wondering about AQUAhydrate, it's high pH water with performance grade electrolytes, the site says.

The company's mission, the site says:

We create, craft and deliver innovative and high quality beverages that provide you with a healthy balance of nutritional benefits so you can perform at the top of your game, no matter what drives you. We never overpromise and will always strive to over deliver by working harder, pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved and living by our beliefs and core values. We exist to passionately encourage you to explore the new. Stretch yourself, perform well and accomplish your goals.

To that, we can add, "and stop kids from wetting the bed."
