Today, May 27, 2011, Jeff Conaway who played Kenickie in ‘Grease’ and starred in ‘Taxi’ reportedly died after going into a drug overdose coma this month at the age of 60. Grease and Taxi fans from all across the blogosphere are mourning his death.
On The Red Carpet reports Jeff was suffering from pneumonia and sepsis and was rushed to the hospital on May 11th. They had to put him in a medically-induced coma to treat him.
TMZ also reports Jeff did not die from a drug overdose. Dr Drew reportedly said Jeff Conaway’s body finally “gave out after long-term prescription abuse.”
TV Week tells us Jeff appeared on Celebrity Rehab in 2008 and they say he was found unconscious in his home on May 11th.
Bloggers reported that life support was removed by his family today after he was declared brain dead.
Other bloggers report that Jeff’s girlfriend fought his family to stop them from removing the life support equipment, but lost in court.
