Diclegis® (doxylamine succinate 10mg and pyridoxine hydrochloride -vitamin B6- 10mg, previously known as Bendectin) in delayed-release tablets is currently the only FDA-approved prescription treatment for nausea and vomiting of pregnancy.

The treatment is safe for those with celiac disease or having lactose intolerance as the product is gluten and lactose free as well as tartrazine (food colourant) free.

The manufacturers of Diclegis®, Duchesnay USA, today announced their tablets are Kosher and Halal certified and that they are also certified Kosher for Passover.

Meeting specific standards, their Kosher and Passover certification is from the Kashruth Council of Canada (COR) and their Halal certification is from the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA®) Halal Certification Agency.

Eric Gervais, Executive Vice President of Duchesnay Inc., stated:

"Duchesnay USA's ultimate goal is to provide access to safe and effective treatments to pregnant women. This includes meeting the specific needs of pregnant women of all cultural and religious backgrounds as well as those that may have dietary restrictions."
