Dec. 7: Dickens of a Christmas, downtown. 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Local crafters will be displaying their talents in window fronts throughout the downtown Lafayette area. The GLPTC trolley (link) will be decked out and transporting folks around the area. Check hours for the free tour. The Dickens Players will begin the story portrayals at 10:45 a.m., the last of the 9 acts will be at 5:25 p.m. at Riehle Plaza. At 6 p.m. the switch to light the courthouse dome “tree” will occur. Strolling singers in costume will carol the Vendors will be open all along Main St. Food, drink, desserts, candy and antiques are just some of the items offered by local shop owners. Please note, the website description lists both Saturday the 7th and last year’s Saturday the 1st. The Farmer’s Market on 5th St. (link) will be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as a special event. Dec. 8: Along Main St. Lafayette Christmas Parade, 2 p.m. Come and see the annual parade, Purdue band, Corvette Club, floats, school bands and other units. Parade website (link)
