Dick Morris: Reno threatened Clinton with "truth about Waco"

Last night on Sean Hannity's Fox's television show, Dick Morris, former Democratic campaign manager and Courtesy of wiki.freetalklive.comlong-time friend of President Bill Clinton, alleged in early 1997, Janet Reno would “tell the truth” regarding Clinton's role in the 1993 Waco siege if she was not reappointed for a second term. The 51-day standoff eventually came to a bloody end on April 19, 1993 when a firebomb left 75 men, women and children dead.

Morris, who is currently a Republican strategist, was asked about the Oklahoma City bombing, Timothy McVeigh and President Clinton’s current assertion that government dissent leads to homegrown terror.

Morris responded with "Let’s understand. What was Timothy McVeigh’s motivation? God knows what's going on in that crazy head of his...but it was the reaction to the Waco takeover. It was Bill Clinton who orchestrated that takeover and he (Clinton) was so ashamed about what he did in Waco that he was not going to appoint Janet Reno to a second four-year term. And she (Reno) told him in a meeting right before the inauguration day for his new term, "If you don't appoint me, I'm going to tell the truth about Waco."

He then offered the following advice, “President Clinton might want to reexamine his own connection to the Oklahoma City bombing in terms of Waco before he starts accusing people with walkers and wheelchairs who are trying to keep their Medicare of being provocateurs,” Morris added.

Morris had a falling out with the Clintons when he allegedly allowed prostitutes to listen to his important phone conversations.
