The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences holds an event catered to video game developers every year called the D.I.C.E. Summit. D.I.C.E stands for Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain which are the key ideas behind the Summit, to get developers and video games industry professionals together and make the games industry a better place for everyone. There is a lot going on during the Summit but the big highlights are the speeches and talks from names like Gabe Newell, Randy Pitchford, and Kiki Wolfkill about their various topics on the game industry.
This year, the entertainment trade publication Variety got rights to stream the event and now all of the talks from Gabe Newell and J.J. Abrams announcement of working together on a "Half-Life"/"Portal" to David Cage's, from Quantic Dream, talk about the industry refusing to grow up.
Variety has the entire collection of keynotes and speeches from D.I.C.E. 2013 on their Youtube channel. If you have any interest in the video games industry, then you should take the time and watch them all.
