DICE 2010

Design, Innovate, Communication, Entertainment. That is what DICE stands for and this year it is being held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Why is it important and how does it relate to video games? Just look at the title! Just as notable as other game conferences such as the Game Developers Conference (GDC) and the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), DICE brings together numerous famous faces and companies from the video game industry to convene about topics and trends hitting the entertainment industry.

How DICE differs from other conferences is that it focuses on the business production end of the game industry, while taking a look at the up and coming trends in innovation and game design. This year, the most notable topics revolve around the future of gaming, creating original IPs and the trends of indie games in the video game industry.

There are numerous videos covering the talks of various video game developers, most if not all are covered on the G4 website and some notable ones for aspiring designers/innovators are listed below.
