Due to their ingenuity and ability to have their fingers on the pulse of art and fashion trends, entrepreneurs Phillip Scott and Kendall Hurns have, over the past few years, transformed their NYCH Gallery into a hotspot for all things cool in Chicago. Last night's event, Diaspora: The Art of Blackness 2014, highlighted a collection of socially-conscious renderings by a group of exceptionally talented artists. The exhibit, which is co-curated by Scott and graphic artist Lashun Tines, provides these artists with a venue to showcase their work and an opportunity to network with potential patrons and resources.
