Don't miss out on seeing the next sensory-friendly film, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". The film is based on the Wimpy Series written and illustrated by Jeff Kinney. It is directed by Thor Freudenthal and stars Zachary Gordon from the popular Canadian TV Series JPod, and has also been featured in the movies RV with Robin Williams, The Invisible, and recently The Time Traveler's Wife (as the young Eric Bana).
Twentieth Century Fox explains Diary of a wimpy Kid, "To Greg Heffley, middle school is the dumbest idea ever invented. It's a place rigged with hundreds of social landmines, not the least of which are morons, wedgies, swirlies, bullies, lunchtime banishment to the cafeteria floor - and a festering piece of cheese with nuclear cooties. To survive the never-ending ordeal and attain the recognition and status he feels he so richly deserves, Greg devises an endless series of can't-miss schemes, all of which, of course, go awry. And he's getting it all down on paper, via a diary - "it's NOT a diary, it's a journal!" Greg insists, preferring the less-sissyfied designation - filled with his opinions, thoughts, tales of family trials and tribulations, and (would-be) schoolyard triumphs. "One day when I'm famous," writes Greg, "I'll have better things to do than answer peoples' stupid questions all day." So was born the Wimpy Kid's diary."
"...it's nimble, bright and funny. It doesn't dumb down. It doesn't patronize. It knows something about human nature. It isn't as good as A Christmas Story, as few movies are, but it deserves a place in the same sentence."
— Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times
Rated PG for some rude humor and language.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid will be released in theaters March 19th nationwide. For showtimes go to Cinemark at Fayette Mall, 3800 Mall Road, Lexington , KY 40503 or call (859)971-0718

Adorable I know just the who to pass this on to thank you
Interesting I heard of this movie coming out. Interesting also that it's based on one of the few preteen books with male protagonist. Thanks for the article on this!
