Diane Lane, 48, and Josh Brolin, 45, are getting a divorce, ending heir troubled eight year marriage, Radar Online reported on Feb. 21. Representatives for the Hollywood couple confirmed that Brolin and Lane have officially called it quits.
A spokesperson issued a statement, saying, “Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to end their marriage.” An insider said it was a mutual decision. “It’s very amicable. It’s not ugly, it’s just over.”
Brolin, son of actor James Brolin and stepson of Barbra Streisand, married Diane Lane in August 2004. Just four months after their nuptials Josh was arrested for spousal battery. Diane called police claiming Brolin had hit her but she never pressed charges against him. Their spokesperson later claimed it was all a misunderstanding and the police matter was dropped.
In 2013 Josh Brolin was arrested in Santa Monica just before midnight on Jan. 1 for public intoxication. Brolin was enjoying a little too much holiday cheer and laughed off the incident later saying, “New Year’s, that’s what happened!”
Diane Lane and Josh Brolin do not have any children together. Both have been previously married. Lane was married to actor Christopher Lambert in October 1988. Lambert and Lane have one daughter, Eleanor Jasmine Lambert. Following a prolonged separation, Lambert and Lane were divorced in 1994.
Brolin was married to actress Alice Adair from 1988 until 1994. Brolin and Adair have two children, Trevor and Eden. Josh Brolin dated actress Minnie Driver for three years and the couple were briefly engaged.
