Diane Lane is getting a divorce. The actress and her husband, Josh Brolin, have decided to end their marriage after eight years. On Feb. 21 reps for the couple confirmed the surprising news to PEOPLE Magazine. The actors always seemed so happy together and so in love, but according to a source, they just grew apart.
"They've been separated for several months. This was a hard decision for both of them to make. The relationship just ran its course," said a source close to the couple. The duo tied the knot in 2004 and did not have any children together. Brolin has two children from a previous relationship and Lane has one.
Diane Lane's divorce news is very shocking to the public. Since the news has hit the media, it is highly unlikely that the two will reconcile. It is unclear if official divorce papers have been filed, but the couple probably wouldn't have "broken the news" if they were not serious about ending their union.
Brolin recently ran in to some trouble when he was arrested for public intoxication on New Year's. However, he was not charged. He was spotted the next day without a wedding ring but the media did not think much of it at the time. It is now clear that he and Lane were separated at the time. It is unknown if his night of drinking was due to his marital woes.
