Diane Keaton begins book tour for memoir today, Nov. 14

Diane Keaton, famous for her role as Annie Hall, begins her book tour today, Monday, Nov. 14, in New York City.  Her memoir, Then Again, is officially released on Nov. 15.  Keaton has four more book signings scheduled, including one more in New York City, and one each in Washington, DC, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Then Again topics

Keaton’s book is really about her mother and herself.  “To write about herself, Diane realized she had to write about her mother, too, and how their bond came to define both their lives,” according to her publisher Random House.

Her mother, Dorothy Hall, kept 85 journals in which she wrote about her marriage, her children and herself.  Keaton drew from this wealth of information to “paint an unflinching portrait of her mother—a woman restless with intellectual and creative energy…”

The book is as much a story of an American family as it is an autobiography of the actress. Among Keaton's movies in addition to Annie Hall are the Godfather triology, Manhattan, Reds, Baby Boom, The First Wives Club and Something's Gotta Give.
