Yesterday evening, Diane Gilman celebrated her 20th anniversary on HSN with an intimate event at The Wayfarer in Midtown West. Notable guests in attendance included Diane Gilman, Mindy Grossman, Bill Brand, Gerard Guez, Anne Martin-Vachon, Fern Mallis, RJ Graziano, Phillip Bloch, Rachael Barnard, Lenay Dunn, Heidi Daus, and Ronny Kobo. Diane Gilman has created a successful business on HSN selling jeans to the baby boomer generation. Her mission has always been to empower women and make them feel good about what they’re wearing. She is HSN’s top-selling designer and the #2 vendor across all categories. The debut of her DG2 jeans was incredible with 5,000 jeans selling within 2 minutes!
At the event, there were models showcasing some of Diane Gilman’s newest collections. Gerard Guez and Mindy Grossman also gave brief speeches on why they enjoy working with Diane Gilman so much. Mindy stated: “She had the vision for DG2 and we said… ‘We're going to do it, we’re going to give you a voice, we’re going to give you a platform, and we’re going to change women’s lives.’ And over the course of that time, I can tell you, that Diane has changed women’s lives.” Diane spoke as well and mentioned how appreciative she is of her partnership with HSN and thanked everyone for their support. She loves working with HSN because it’s such a creative company that allows you to make your dreams a reality. Her goal this year is to make her brand a $100 million dollar business. Diane is certainly well on her way to that goal and is an inspiration. Cheers to your continuing success, Diane Gilman!
