Diamond Select Toys (DST) sent out a press release today announcing the impending release of their Marvel Select Nightcrawler action figure based on the Marvel Comics character. They also revealed images of a Marvel Select Hugh Jackman as "The Wolverine" figure on Marvel's website yesterday.
DST said of their Nightcrawler figure, “The offspring of a mutant and a demon, blue-furred acrobat Kurt Wagner has shown the signs of his mixed heritage since he was born, and sculptor Jean St. Jean has brought out the scarier aspects of the X-Men’s resident teleporter in this new figure.”
Nightcrawler will be in the familiar 7 inch scale of the Marvel Select line and he will feature 16 points of articulation. Like most figures in the series Nightcrawler will include a display base. His will be in the form of a “bamf” cloud, representing the cloud he leaves behind when he teleports.
Wolverine will include multiple interchangeable hands and heads. The collector figure will also feature 16 points of articulation. He is set to come with a display base, but its sculpt has not been revealed. Look for him in stores this fall.
