Diagon Alley celebs at Universal, Part 2: Warwick Davis, Coltrane and Gleeson

The stars were out all day and night at the Diagon Alley media preview event held at Universal Studios Florida last week. They had a chance to enjoy the new area, but they were also kept busy chatting with the press.

Three of the celebs on hand were Warwick Davis, who has a dual role as Professor Flitwick and Griphook), Robbie Coltrane, who plays the imposing Rubeus Hagrid, and Domnhall Gleeson, better known in the movies as Bill Weasley. You might see them in the new rides when you visit Diagon Alley for yourself, but it was great to meet them in person during the preview and get a chance to participate in a panel discussion with them. Click the video accompanying this article to see that full question and answer session.

If you want to see Diagon Alley for yourself, you don't have too long to wait. Its official grand opening date is July 8, just in time for summer visits (or wait until the fall, when the crowds should start to die down). If the original Hogsmeade area is any indication, Diagon Alley should draw massive crowds of Harry Potter fans eager to experience yet another part of their favorite wizard's world first hand.

The trio weren't the only familiar faces at the Diagon Alley preview. Use the links below to see videos of panel discussions with the other celebrities listed below.

There's also a panel interview with members of the Universal creative team in this article. For my one on one interview with Oliver Phelps, jump here. For Matthew Lewis, go here.
