'Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition' coming to new consoles

Today, Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the latest Diablo III expansion, Reaper of Souls is coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 19. Even bigger news than that, however, is the fact that the Ultimate Evil Edition containing the original game and the expansion will be available on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Because of the time discrepancy, launching on the new consoles while adding an expansion on the old ones, Blizzard is pricing the two appropriately: $59.99 for the PS4 or Xbox One and $39.99 for the PS3 or Xbox 360. Both include the original Diablo III content, so if you have not yet fought against the lords of Hell, now would be the time to do so.

An exclusive pre-order item was also announced: Infernal Pauldrons. Exemplified in the embedded picture, this piece of armor provides bonuses to Vitality, Life per Second, and Cooldown Reduction, is available to be equipped at level one, and is ready for transmogrification. A key for this content can be found in any launch day copy of Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition so if you don't pre-order you may still get lucky.

Worth noting is that the console version of Diablo allows for four players one one screen, something that the PC version of the title doesn't support. Our review of the game praised it for this among other things that made it superior to the original version.
