'Diablo III' officially coming to Playstation 3 and Playstation 4

Tonight during Sony's press conference announcing the Playstation 4, there's been plenty of publishers and developers stepping up to the plate to develop for the system. One of them is Blizzard, and they announced that they're bringing their hugely successful PC game, "Diablo 3" to the new console.

That's not all though, the plan is to bring the game to the Playstation 3 as well. Chris Metzen, Senior VP of Story and Franchise development at Blizzard (pictured above) made the announcement at the press conference.

"Blizzard and Sony have entered into a strategic partnership, through which we will take over the world," said Metzen.

According to Metzen, the game is already playable on the Playstation 3. They will also include a split-screen mode for local gameplay. Metzen said the game will first be shown off at PAX East next month.

"In the coming months, we'll formally debut the game. We're very excited about our partnership with Sony and what the future has in store for us," Metzen concluded.

It's a very interesting time for the Playstation 4. No word on price or launch date and heck, the system hasn't even been shown off, but Sony is building plenty of excitement with it's press conference.
