Diablo III” will finally make its way to the PS4 and Xbox One this summer and its bringing the “Reaper of Souls” expansion with it. Blizzard Entertainment announced Monday that “Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition” is coming to both current-gen and last-gen Playstation and Xbox consoles.

“Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition” will be released on Aug. 19 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The current gen version of the game will be priced at $59.99 while the last-gen version will be $39.99. It does not appear that those that already own “Diablo III” for the PS3 or Xbox 360” will be able to purchase the “Reaper of Souls” expansion separately based on the press release from Blizzard.

The game will feature all of the content from the original “Diablo III” as well as everything from “Reaper of Souls.” In addition, it will also allow four-player split-screen local player as well as online multiplayer over Playstation Network and Xbox LIVE. It also introduces a new Apprentice mode that boosts low-level players’ power when adventuring with friends that have higher levels. Loot can also be shared via an in-game mail system.

“Reaper of Souls” adds an all new adventure to “Diablo III” as players must explore the city of Westmarch and put an end to the plans of the Angel of Death, Malthael. The expansion not only introduced the new adventure and area but also a new playable class, the Crusader. This hero is donned in armor from head to toe and, as his name suggests, comes ready to bring righteous fury to the battlefield.

The other big addition to “Diablo III” that the “Ultimate Evil Edition” will bring is the complete revamp of the game’s loot system and an expanded Paragon progression system. The new loot system has been the most well-received updates to the PC version of the game as it gives out more meaningful loot based on what class character’s play. That means you may see less loot overall but you will see more rare items that you can actually use.

Other new additions coming to “Diablo III” for consoles includes the Adventure Mode, Bounties, Nephalem Rifts, an increase in the level cap to 70 and the Mystic. The last is a new artisan that can replace enchantments on items as well as change the physical appearance of items.

PS3 and Xbox 360 owners who already own "Diablo III" will be able to transfer their characters to "Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition" on the PS4, PS3 and Xbox One and Xbox 360 respectively. All pre-orders also come with a key for the Infernal Pauldrons, which provides bonuses to Vitality, Life per Second, and Cooldown Reduction.
