‘Diablo 3’ confirmed for PS4, PS3, playable at PAX East (Photos)

On Wednesday, Feb. 20, Blizzard Entertainment announced that “Diablo 3”, the latest entry in its award-winning action – RPG series, will see release on the newly introduced PlayStation 4, in addition to release on the PlayStation 3.

The PS4/PS3 version of “Diablo 3” is based on the PC version of the title, including all of the latest upgrades, such as Paragon leveling system, customizable Monster Power, and epic Legendary items.

In addition, Blizzard is designing an all-new user interface, including an imitative control scheme and a new dynamic camera perspective, which will make questing and combat feel like second nature the PlayStation’s DualShock control pad.

Furthermore, players will be able to battle their way the game’s single-player mode and experience the joy of looting with friends via a seamless four-player online game mode. There is also a local co-op mode available to select from.

"Diablo III looks and plays great on the PlayStation," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We put a lot of care and thought into the PlayStation version to make sure it would deliver an authentic Diablo gaming experience, and we're really pleased with the results. We can't wait for players to try it out at PAX East."

Additionally, Blizzard shared today that the PS3 version of “Diablo 3” will be shown live at PAX East from March 22-24. Attendees will be the first to play “Diablo 3” with a PS3 controller and experience the new custom-designed user interface.
