What is Diabetes Done Right?
What is Diabetes Done Right?
Julie Wanner, CMA, AS, FIFHI Certified, Author of "Diabetes Can Be Sweet...Once You Bury It."

Diabetes Done Right is not just my business name but it’s copyrighted in my book, “Diabetes Can Be Sweet…Once You Bury It.” Refer to pages 121-122. In addition, Diabetes Done Right was created by me personally 35 years ago when I was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I knew after being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes that I not only wanted to write a book to help others deal with the emotional and mental aspect of diabetes but teach them how to live a happy and healthy life. I knew at the time how I truly wanted a positive role model to follow in regards to diabetes. However, 35 years ago there was no one I could relate to. It was a very sad and lonely time for me. No one could even understand what I was feeling. Since I didn’t want anyone to ever experience the pain and suffering I was going through I wanted to ensure I could eventually help children and adults globally with diabetes.

Unfortunately, it’s rare for the emotional and mental aspect of diabetes to ever be addressed. People suffer alone. I made a promise to myself that no one ever again would have to go through what I did. It’s been 35 years since I made that promise which I have kept and will continue to until diabetes is completely buried for everyone.
If you’re feeling sad and lonely know that you’re not alone. Over 35 years ago there was a young girl feeling the exact same way. She was in your shoes. Does anyone really understand me? Does anyone even care? Is my life over? Please remember that diabetes will never define you. Instead, you’ll define what diabetes means to you.

Diabetes Done Right means a promise I made 35 years ago to open my heart to you my friend by first extending my hand to help you.
