Aamir Khan and his "Dhoom: 3" might be taking some hits from the serious cinegoer in India, but for the commercial cinema buffs, the action flick is dream come true.
This belief is now being cemented by the way the box-office has been reacting to the movie.
NVO news in a report on December 23, 2013, puts the Indian BO collections for "Dhoom : 3" on the second day of its release at Rs 70 crore. Meanwhile, in the US too the flick is making waves, and has already raked in $3.3 million.
That number is in fact the highest for any movies that has originated in Bollywood. "Dhoom: 3" is for sure pushing the records set by Shah Rukh Khan’s "Chennai Express" and Hrithik Roshan’s "Krrish 3" over the past 11 month period.
That means, by the year end Bollywood have an Aamir – Abhishek starrer ruling the box-office in India and the U.S. too.
In the U.S., the film is now showing in 236 cinemas, and is No 9 in overall rating in the whole of North America.
As soon as it released in India, "Dhoom : 3" collected Rs 36.22 crore, and on the second day another Rs 33.36 crore was collected. The Rs 100-crore mark in three days is not a far-off number.
