If you want to see an awards show that truly does support different choices than juts about any other for TV, all you have to do is look at the Directors Guild Awards from Saturday night. The two big winners in the TV comedy failed to receive much attention from anywhere else, but are yet two of the most-acclaimed series from the past year.

- William Ludel, General Hospital, “Intervention” (ABC)
Children’s Programs
- Amy Schatz, A Child’s Garden of Poetry (HBO)
Commericals
- Noam Murro, Ads for Heineken Premium Light, DirecTV, Volkswagen Tiguan, and EA Battlefield 3
Out of these winners, "Palestinian Chicken" may be one that is easiest for adult viewers to pick up and watch -- as a matter of fact, this exercise in awkwardness has been lauded among one of the best episodes of any show for the past decade.
