DG's Tap House in Ames will host a big blues double-feature on Saturday, March 23. The show will feature performances from Iowa-based blues bands The Candymakers and the Thunder Blues. Tickets for the 9 p.m. show are $5, and they may be purchased at the door or online through MidwesTix. This concert is a 21-and-over show.

Hailing from the Quad Cities, The Candymakers have become one of the Midwest's top up-and-coming blues, funk, and soul bands. In just three years since their formation, the band has won the Iowa Blues Challenge, reached the semi-finals of both the International Blues Challenge and The Kings of Beale Street Competition, and released their debut album.
