The Artist's Eye: J.T. Grant, Fort Worth. Kimbell Art Museum. Artist J.T. Grant will discuss works in the museum's permanent collection, share the special insights of the practicing professional, and relate older art to contemporary artistic concerns, including his own. C.D. Dickerson, Curator of European Art will moderate the discussion. 11:00 a.m. Free admission and no reservations required.
Studio Creations. Dallas Museum of Art. Use a family gallery guide to explore fashion and creativity in the collection and then visit the studio to design a mini costume for a superhero, dog, or princess. This casual event features the area's coolest jazz aficionados, gallery tours, appetizers, a cash bar, and, of course, other art lovers. 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Free admission tickets for members. Tickets are $30 for nonmembers. No reservations required.

A trained volunteer will be in the galleries with engaging materials for all ages. 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. The Dallas Goethe Center Film Series. Join the DMA for a series of screenings of German films, ranging in subject and time period, but commonly dealing with cultural and societal life in Germany. Ivan Eidt, University of Dallas Modern Languages and Literatures Professor and Dallas Goethe Center film programmer, will lead the audience in a discussion of the film after each screening. This week's screening is The Congress Dances (Der Kongress Tanzt). 2:00 p.m. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and reservations are not required. All programs are free with a general museum admission ticket.
