April Dallas/Fort Worth Museum Events:
Focus Ged Quinn opens at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Admission $10.00 or less. Magnolia at the Modern will feature The Forgiveness of Blood. Showtimes are 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $8.50 or less with ½ price tickets at the noon show time.
Studio Creations. Dallas Museum of Art. View works of art from the permanent collection and the Youth and Beauty exhibition before creating a work of art in the studio inspired by American artists working in the 1920s. 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. A Gothic Bed will be explored during Collection Connections. 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Both events are free with a general museum admission ticket. Dallas Goethe Center Film Series will feature The Captain from Köpenick (Der Hauptmann von Köpenick) followed by a discussion of the film with Ivan Eidt, University of Dallas Modern Languages and Literatures Professor and Dallas Goethe Center film programmer. 2:00 p.m. Free admission.
Family Fun Day. Amon Carter Museum of American Art. Families will discover artists at the Amon Carter who created masterpieces at a young age. These masterpieces will provide inspiration for a children’s art project. 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Free admission. No reservations required.
