"Dexter" is getting ready for its final season on Channel 240 in Tempe. On Thursday, Feb. 14, Spoiler TV shared the first photo from the set of the series for the new season. Production has begun on the final season of "Dexter" for Showtime, according to Hypable. The cast went through the first table read last week, and the announcement that filming had begun on the series went on Wednesday. This will be the final season of the Showtime series, and it will return this summer to the network. The series normally airs during the fall months, but the network decided to push up the release of the series.
A new man has been cast on the series as well. According to Slash Film, Nick Gomez will play a hit man on the series, and he will tangle with Dexter and Deb after she get in the way of him killing his latest target. Fans of "The Walking Dead" will recognize the actor from that series.
Fans are buzzing about this series on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
