"Dexter" season 8—and the series—ends next week with episode 12, "Remember the Monsters?" and on Sunday, Sept. 15, Showtime released a new sneak preview from the series finale.
The latest "Dexter" episode, "Monkey in a Box," saw Dexter (Michael C. Hall) choosing to leave Saxon alive and for Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) to arrest, only for everything to go wrong when the Deputy Marshal following her showed up and freed him as Saxon claimed he had been abducted. Saxon stabbed him shot Deb, who was left bleeding as Dexter was oblivious and heading to the airport with Harrison to meet Hannah (Yvonne Strahovski).
In the series finale, Dexter faces impossible odds, and with a hurricane threatening Miami, he's determined to end things his way. The "Dexter" season 8 episode 12 promo to the left shows EMTs and Miami Metro at the hospital, and Deb is still alive, but will she still be when the finale is over? She tells Quinn (Desmond Harrington) that she's done things she's not proud of, but how much is she going to reveal? Meanwhile, Elway is at the airport, determined to catch Hannah trying to leave the country, but will she, Dexter, and Harrison be able to get out before it's too late? Plus, don't forget to check out the promotional photos Showtime has released from "Remember the Monsters?" in the slideshow.
