This was my first time covering SXSW 2013 and I loved it. I was only there for one day, thought I'd dip my toes in the water my first time and take it all in. I captured some photographs of the massive crowd gathering around the convention center. Some as if they knew the place like the back of their hand, and others with a puzzled look on their head - me included. After collecting my pass, I explored and continued on taking pictures, stopping to interview several fans and attendees about what they love about SXSW.
"I come because this is the only affordable place where I can hopefully bump into celebrities and YouTube stars," Mindy Jones, 19, says. "All laughs aside though, this is my second time at SXSW and I love it! Whether or not I see someone famous!"
"Movie screenings are my favorite thing in this event. I don't care how long I have to line up for, this opportunity is priceless," Carson Michelle, 23, says.
"I can only afford a day pass but that's all I need! You get so much from one day, it's a must to come here." Alex Ramos, 25, says.
"This is my first time at SXSW and I'm completely lost, very confusing...but there's something in every corner and it's very exciting at the same time," Bradley Veto, 20, says.
