Dexter girls rebound their way to 54-44 victory over Stearns

MILLINOCKET--Freshman Megan Peach recorded 12 points and 21 rebounds to lead the Dexter Tigers girls basketball team to a 54-44 victory over Stearns on Monday evening.

The Tigers out-rebounded Stearns 49-16.

Michaela White recorded 23 points, seven rebounds, and one assist for the Tigers.

Dexter shot 7-11 from three point range. White hit 4 thr11ee pointers.

Abbie Melvin recorded seven points, 13 rebounds, and two assists.

Raychel Alley led Stearns with 25 points, eight rebounds,and two assist. Emma Alley chipped in with 10 points.

Dexter shot 11-20 from the free throw line. Stearns shot 6-18 from the free throw line.

Dexter (6-2) will travel to Bucksport on Saturday.

Stearns (4-4) is scheduled to host Bangor Christian on Thursday, and Searsport on Friday.
