Dexter captures second straight class C eastern Maine cheering championship

Bangor, ME-- Winning back to back championships in any sport is a difficult task.

The Dexter Tigers cheerleading team accomplished that feat when they won the class C eastern Maine championship at the Bangor Auditorium on Saturday morning.

The Tigers advance to the state championships that will be held at the Bangor Auditorium on February 9th at 10 a.m.

The defending class C state champions from Central high school also qualified for the state championships. The Red Devils finished 6th in the eastern Maine regional.

Sumner finished as the eastern Maine runner up and will be joining Orono, Houlton, Bucksport, Dexter and Central as representatives from class C east at the state championships.
