As predicted Curren Caples did give last years winner Ryan Sheckler a run for his Skate Street Dew Cup title.The Skate Streetstyle Final is a contest that tries to brings real life street obstacles into the contest arena.This years course had jersey barriers, shipping containers and cars on a slightly downhill street. Although no slouch on transition Ryan Sheckler is definitely no stranger to the streets. He utilized the entire course even wall riding off the car and finally ending his run with a giant Ryan Sheckler kickflip. The crowd roared and once again Ryan Sheckler took home the Skate Street Dew Cup. He was followed closely by Curren Caples and third place finisher David Gravette.
The Skate Street Dew Cup discipline saw new comer Brazilian Kelvin Hoefler edge out Plan B's Felipe Gustavo by three points to qualify first in the prelims. Kelvin Hoefler banged nollie noseblunts on the tp rail and clean backside noseblunts on the picnic table with ease. On day two Kelvin fell to second place being beat by one point by Flip Skateboard's Louie Lopez. “This is insane,” said Lopez following his win. He was stoked the contest was in SF and his performance certainly reflected that. He took the top spot in the heat, and ultimately the top spot in the contest. The Dew Tour Toyota City Championships began today in San Francisco with Skate Street prelims. 23 skaters tore up the course featuring replicas of iconic SF spots - Hubba Hideout and China Banks. Kelvin Hoefler stepped up in the first heat, landing a nollie bluntslide on the A-frame rail and a backside noseblunt on the picnic table. LOUIE LOPEZ WINS HIS FIRST SKATE STREET DEW CUP AT DEW TOUR TOYOTA CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS
San Francisco – Oct 11, 2013 – The Dew Tour Toyota City Championships took over San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza this afternoon with Skate Street, BMX Street and BMX Dirt Finals. After dominating the street course throughout the weekend, Louie Lopez took the Dew Cup in his first attempt at competing on the Dew Tour. He landed a frontside bluntside 270, varial heelflip and half cab flip down the Hubba Hideout stairs and frontside 360 over the hip.

The Dew Tour Toyota City Championships continues tomorrow with BMX and Skate Streetstyle on Harrison St. and the FMX Triple Threat contest in front of City Hall. Dew Tour Community Day invites local fans to enjoy the interactive Dew Tour Experience and skate the Dew Tour street course.

RYAN SHECKLER WINS SECOND CONSECUTIVE SKATE STREETSTYLE DEW CUP
San Francisco – Oct 13, 2013 – The Dew Tour Toyota City Championships moved their skate and BMX competitions to Harrison St. today for the industry’s most progressive downhill street contest. Ryan Sheckler arrived in San Francisco with the goal of repeating his stellar 2012 performance at the Skate Streetstyle Final, a contest that brings true-to-life street features of jersey barriers, shipping containers and cars to a downhill street, and walked away with the Dew Cup. His run included a backside 360, wallride off a car, tailslide across the pyramid rail, backside flip onto the flatbed truck, and backside lipslide. He closed out the contest with a huge crowd-pleasing kickflip off the shipping container onto a car to end his victory lap.
“I really enjoy this style and format of the contest,” said Sheckler. He reflected on the top-level talent competing, including second place finisher and Dew Tour newcomer Curren Caples and David Gravette, who rounded out the podium. “The course is so fun to skate and everyone uses their imagination to figure out what they want to do. I have a blast doing this contest. I would love to see more of these.”
