Devos won $335,000 in winning the event. Riding the horse Candy, Devos rebounded nicely after falling under his horse during a minor competition earlier in the week. He was the only rider to have two clear rounds.
Steve Guerdat of Switzerland finished in second place and Penelope Leprevost of France finished in third place.
Devos and Candy, an eleven year old Belgian sport horse, posted times of 91.19 and 70.99. They were not the fastest on Sunday, but definitely the smoothest.
According to the Canadian Press, Devos and Candy won despite the fact that Devos lost his stirrup after completing a difficult triple combination. Ludo Philippaerts made it a Belgian sweep as he won the $50,000 Nexen Cup alongside his horse Quintender 2.
