Devious Maids - "An Ideal Husband" Photos-slide0
Devious Maids returns April 20th on Lifetime

In the first episode of the season, which was directed by Eva Longoria, three months have passed, and Marisol has found a new love. Has she met her “Ideal Husband” as the episode title suggests? When Peri discovers that Rosie is back in the U.S., she goes to great lengths to keep Spence and Rosie apart. Zoila learns through Genevieve that Valentina is back from Africa. As Carmen and Alejandro settle into their fake relationship, Odessa reaches her limit. After a traumatic event at the Powell home, Adrian and Evelyn hire a handsome bodyguard, Tony.

Susan Lucci is back in rare form as Genevieve, everyone’s favorite Beverly Hills socialite. She is still in mourning three months after Philippe’s death, and lounges around the pool in black – a black bathing suit. Zolia wonders if she's overdoing it a little on the grief, after all it's been three months. Genevieve insists her grief is sincere, saying that the fact that "black is also slimming is merely a coincidence. Zoila tries to get her out of her funk by suggesting she go shopping. In the best of her famous one-liners, Genevieve, when she receives a letter from Remy with troubling news, she starts to leave, telling Zoila that she is going “shopping.”

“I thought you were in mourning,” Zoila says as she leaves.

To which Genevieve responds, “I am, but I can’t be selfish. The U.S. economy needs me.”

New characters are introduced including Marisol’s new man and his “family.” Perhaps, the best moment of the episode is Adrian’s reaction to the new maid that Evelyn has hired to replace Marisol.

Catch all the fun, beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
