Two house guests face eviction from their fellow cast mates on the July 17, 2014 episode of “Big Brother” 16. After one of them is sent home, another Head of Household competition takes place to determine which two players will win HOH until the Battle of the Block, when one of them will be dethroned.
Initially, Jocasta and Caleb faced eviction after being nominated by current HOH Derrick. In Wednesday night’s episode, Donny won the Power of Veto and saved Jocasta, who was too sick from dehydration to even take part in the challenge.
Because of Donny’s move, Derrick was required to replace Jocasta with another house guest. According to live feeds from inside the “Big Brother” house, it was basically a consensus that Devin would be nominated for eviction if the POV was used, Joker's Updates reports.
Thus, Derrick chose Devin to replace Jocasta, which effectively gave Devin no chance to compete to get off the block. The only chance he has to stay in the game at this point is to convince his fellow cast mates to keep him and send Caleb home instead.
After either Devin or Caleb is evicted from the “Big Brother” house, the HOH competition is slated to take place, during which two people will be given the title. Eventually, they will each nominate two people for eviction and these nominees will fight in an upcoming Battle of the Block. The two nominees that remain on the block will determine which house guest will be the reigning HOH for the week and who will be dethroned.
