A suspect who is said to be Christopher Dorner is currently barricaded in a Big Bear cabin after burglarizing a home and stealing an automobile.
Authorities were contacted after a man who appeared to be Dorner stole a truck. Police began to scour the area and discovered the vehicle on Highway 38. The suspect in the vehicle ran into the woods and barricaded himself in a nearby cabin after exchanging gunfire with police, out of which two officers were hurt. Those two officers, whose names have not yet been released, have since been airlifted to a local hospital.
Christopher Dorner was believed to have burglarized a home and tied up two women before stealing the truck. One of the women was able to escape and call authorities to report the crime.
The manhunt for Dorner began last week after the former LAPD officer posted a Manifesto via Facebook. A $1 million reward was issued earlier this week for Dorner's capture as he has been charged with the murder of three people.
